As a result of difficult economic times many people over the age of fifty are entering the world of Internet Marketing. As baby boomers we made a vow to never grow old. Consequently, we bring youth and vitality to the marketplace mixed with wisdom.
What Iam about to share may help make that transition a little smoother. First of all when I decided to transition from traditional, or old school marketing, I immediately had a rude awakening. I understood the ways of the world but, not the ways of cyberspace. As a result I had many people promise me many things for their own benefit, and self promotion. Yes my feelings got a little bruised in the process but, I realized, just like every thing else in this life there is good and bad. This allowed me to continue my quest, knowing I would find people with integrity of heart, that would be there to assist me on my journey. Fortunately, I have always understood the importance of mentors, and have also understood they don’t have to be someone you know personally. For many years Donald Trump was my only mentor. However, God has blessed me with 3 more that I have never met personally, but feel very close to. It took me over 2 yrs to find these ladies, but it has been worth the wait. Four mentors may seem like alot, but I am a firm believer that there is wisdom in a multitude of counselors, and it takes a village to raise a child. That being said, I hope this has helped someone struggling to find people on the the Internet that truly have a heart for helping people succeed. If you would like the names of these ladies, please contact me, and I would be more than happy to share that information with you. I also have a post on my blog: What To Look For In A Mentor August 18,2012, Which will give you some indepth insight. Wishing you great success!
